This Maamar explores the Vayishlach maamarim of the Alter Rebbe and the Mitteler Rebbe, how they all flow along the theme of the Parsha from the beginning until Shlishi. It also explores an initial idea that the Mitteler Rebbe later refutes but does not remove from the מאמר. That even in פנימיות התורה there is פלפול שקלא וטריא ויגיעה. The first way also is true though it is found to be less precise. The story of the Parsha is Yaakov announcing that he has completed his בירורים and he wishes to know where his brother עשיו is holding. He finds him unprepared and Yaakov reacts in one of two ways [based on the two approaches in the מיטעלער רביס מאמר. 1) He fights to destroy מלאכו של עשיו and only succeeds as he has the מעלה of בעל תשובה וצדיק. Source of Yidden in Atzmus. 2) He turns to try and elevate מלאכו של עשיו as preparation to elevating עשיו הגשמי himself.
