01. Ma’amar Vinacha 5714, Class One. Perek 2, Class 1. Introduction to the year and the Ma’amar. Two schools of (theological) thought: Chakira (Jewish Philosophy) and Kabbalah. There are many deep differences between the two schools of thought, one of the most important ones is the question of Elokus, Godliness. Chakira holds of no such idea and ALL of Kabbalah is about the fact that Hashem has a light or a face (or as I like to describe it: ‘G-d interactive’). G-dliness which is not G-d any more but not a creation yet allows for man to come closer to Him, and fro Him to be available to us (experientially) also. There’s Godliness on the Essence level and on the revealed ‘to another’ (זולת) level. The latter is Atzilus and this is where our learning begins. To understand Atzilus and the lower worlds of BiY”A and how they are different. Atzilus represents and reveals Him. BiY”A represents and reveals ITSLF.
