01b. Tiku BaChodesh Shofar 5735, Class Two. This (second) class answers all the questions asked in the first class. Before Rosh Hashanah only the ‘Pnimiyus’ is removed, so the world continues being (and it continues being created each instant from the Ayin state to the Yesh state); however it is like a person doing something with little motivation (ברפיון ידים) because the Pnimiyus interest is gone. Rosh Hashanah brings back the ‘Pnimiyus’ which (in turn) changes the ‘Chitzoniyus’ (to have a higher meaning) also. The Chitzoniyus involves renewal every second, but 1) it is ‘only’ חידוש הישנות (renewing what already was), and 2) it is connected to the idea of לא ישבותו (which -it is explained elsewhere- is connected to the idea of לא שניתי); and the ‘Pnimiyus’ brought forward Rosh Hashanah is new, higher and deeper each and every year. But this ‘Pnimiyus’ isn’t יש מאין, it is merely מן ההעלם אל הגילוי throughout the year, [and as such, there’s an advantage in the renewal of the Chitzoniyus also and they support and enhance each other]. In our Avoda this is to reveal our own Pnimiyus, and this is what the Possuk is saying תקעו בחדש שופר that the person renew his own beauty (inner Oneg) on a higher level to reveal HIS higher Oneg. The Rebbe adds ( a brilliant) additional point about Tishrei being the seventh month. He explains that it is linked to the seventh of the 13 attributes of mercy, תיקון ואמת, which is above even the Tzimtzum of Sa’aros (hair) and comes as it is in it’s essence, like the light of the countenance of one’s face.
