Ki Yiddativ 5736 Class Two. The first class explored the “Biur” of this Ma’amar (the ideas of Mayim Rabim and the love- “Ahava” that nothing could extinguish). This second class explores the “Ma’amar” (beginning and the end) of the Possuk Ki Yeda’ativ as it is explained (briefly) in the Samach Vov (seventy years before). Rashi translates Yeda’ativ from the word love, which the Rebbe connects to Oneg (delight); Targum translates Yeda’ativ literally (the I know…) using the phrase ארי גלי קדמי, this is understood in the context of the סוגיא of רצון ועונג, to mean the Atzmi that shows itself (Ratzon) versus the one that doesn’t show itself (Oneg). SO, Yida’ativ means I know and the Knowledge is revealed and actually empowers Avrohom (and his children) to do what they must do as servants of God; and at the same time (it says למען אשר יצוה) the free will is maintained, because His Knowledge (even revealed) doesn’t touch our Free Will. Liasid the Oneg will also be revealed.
