09a. Pada BiShalom 5735 (a 19 Kislev- Vayeshev Ma’amar), Class One. This class explains how the dreams of Yosef are important for all us, as we learn from everything in the Torah; but especially as we -in Galus- are called צאן יוסף (Yosef’s sheep). The Galus is compared to a dream, as per Yosef’s dreams (are analogous to Galus). Three points are made: 1) Galus means going to a lower level, 2) Galus means the possibility for conflict, 3) Galus means the joining of different realities together in a disorderly way, where opposites co-exist. The point of Galus (as he explains it in THIS Ma’amar) is to get a favorable פתרון (interpretation). The Ma’amar further connects our lives to Yosef’s dreams, vis-à-vis the particulars of the dreams: the Shevatim are bundling bundles and when they are done they bow to Yosef’s bundle. This is explained as the Birur Sheini (from the top down) after the first Birur (from the bottom up) which raises their efforts into Atzilus (a place of peace).
