1) The eating of holy food, or when eating is holy.
The entire idea of ‘eating with God’ and the incredible closeness it represents is explored.
When it comes to son offerings, the sinner doesn’t eat (it would be very wrong) but the kohain eats for him (and he is atoned through this).
2) Two types of day: A. a creation day, first there’s night (darkness) and then light; B. a day connected to Avoda (service) first there’s day (light) and there’s night (the darkness also shines), this is the way Korbanos are, including how the Kohain ate the Chatos.
