11. Ma’amar Adna”i Sefasai Tiftach 5712, Class Eleven; Perek Three (03)- Perek Four (01). The lengthy Torah discussion was a segue to the Tefilla discussion. There are (also) two types of tefilla. A. normal prayer, we ask and he responds; B. where our prayer is a if we are simply repeating after Him, due to our extreme Hisbatlus (Yirah Ila’a) to Him. The second one is what the Gemara calls ‘Tefilla Arichta’ and it is represented by the six words of אדנ-י שפתי תפתח וגו. This kind of prayer comes from higher and affects lower, it is guarantee to affect below, because there’s no possibility for obstruction here. We explained it using the idea of Davening with a Minyan (תפילה בציבור), that the Gemara says is always answered (הן א-ל כביר לא ימאס). Two reasons this is so. A. Ahavas Yisroel (that is His weakness) as the expression וואס א חסידישער פארבריינגען קען אויפטאן קען מיכאל שרן של ישראל נישט אויפטאן (a Chassidic Farbrengen is more affective -due to the unity expressed). B. That Hashem is the eleventh man so to speak. Wherever there are ten Jews (doing whatever) He joins, and brings with Him the 13 Middos of Rachamim which are certainly effective, even for Reshaim. The idea of the 10 days of Teshuva where one person is like ten is consistent with this idea.
