11c. HaChodesh 5715 (A HaChodesh Ma’amar), Class Three. This class includes the beginning and the end of the Ma’amar. The Midrash develops the idea that what Moshe begins cryptically is developed more completely by Dovid. The points raised are: (1) First Hashem created fire water wind; (2) from the fire emerged light; (3) the light comes before שמים; and (4) He created the moon for מועדים; and (5) all this completed by Yidden in Mitzrayim telling Dovid, we had the lunar calendar (and Yom Tov) while still in Mitzrayim. All this is explained by the idea that Birurim in the lower worlds (Dovid) allow for bringing Torah down from the highest levels into the world. Each of these points are also addressed.
