16d. Mishnayos Perek Aizehu Mikoman, Yeshiva Achei Temimim (5782/ 2022), Class Sixteen, Mishna 5 Zivchei Shalmei Tzibbur VaAshamos (4). This, forth class on the Mishna about Ashamos discusses the fifth (regular) Asham. Asham Mitzora. The idea of bringing a Korban as a means of getting pure from impurity is odd and addressed at length in this class. 1) Tuma from interacting with something impure. 2) Tuma from interacting with something ‘not holy’ (קליפת נוגה סתם). The idea of a קרבן to correct the second kind of wrong. We demonstrated how each of these four (יולדת, זב, זבה, מצורע) based on the aforementioned principal. יולדת she swears she’ll never have another child, for this there’s חסרון כפרה (a Tuma due to a lack of good). זב וזבה are both sick, so the Tuma is not from a negative force but from a lack of a positive force, thus they bring a קרבן מחוסר כםרה. מצורע A. for Lashan HaRa, that is a big Aveira, but it happens without intent (often); B. Adam almost perfect etc. In both cases there are earlier steps of Tahara for the Tuma, the Asham for מחוסר כפרה deals with the aspect of Tuma rooted in a lack of good (that is not bad).
