18. Viyikchu Li Teruma 5735 The repeat of the word תרומה (to separate and to lift up) is used at the beginning of this Parsha three times. It refers to the three offerings of 1) half Shekels for the Adanim (base of the Mishkan) 2) half Shekels for the Korbanos, 3) various offerings given in the goodness of each one’s heart to build the Mishkan. They correspond to 1) Torah 2) Prayer 3) and serving Hashem with physical acts of Mitzvos. Each is connected to a different level of offering 1) ויקחו לו תרומה and 2) תקחו את תרומתי and 3) וזאת התרומה. The third is the least spiritual; and the most purposeful.
