Lihavin Inyan S’firas HaOmer 5718, Class One. This (1st) class on this Ma’amar has a long introduction about the “point” of this Ma’amar, which is: משפיע ומקבל. This is represented by… 1) The correction of both the נפש האלוקית and the נפש הבהמית (which are a model of משפיע ומקבל) in ספירת העומר. 2) יציאת מצרים is mostly מקבל but has some משפיע also. 3) קריעת ים סוף is mostly משפיע but a little מקבל also. The idea of משפיע ומקבל means that each is both a משפיע and a מקבל in a different way. We also learned the beginning of the Ma’amar explaining how ספירת העומר gets us from יציאת מצרים (which is altogether מלמעלה למטה) to מתן תורה (where we are “equal to Hashem [His “Sister”]).

Lihavin Inyan S’firas HaOmer 5718, Class Two. The בירור המדות is each מדה as it has within itself all seven מדות. The Rebbe explains each of the seven מדות in חסד twice 1) In the נפש as a whole 2) In the נפש האלוקית Then in short he addresses the question of התכללות in the מדות of the נפש הבהמית.
Lihavin Inyan S’firas HaOmer 5718, Class Three. נפש אלוקית and נפש הבהמית are the idea of משפיע ומקבל is represented and inasmuch as they are connected to ספירת העומר there must be some of משפיע ומקבל in יציאת מצרים and קריעת ים סוף (the first is primarily מקבל and the second is primarily משפיע). We suggested that משפיע ומקבל is like שמאלו תחת לראשי וימינו תחבקיני of ימים נוראים and סוכות (both are גילוי but one is in קו הגבורה). These ideas subside to allow for עבודה בכח עצמו during ספירה but even then they exists בקטנות בגדלות ועוד למעלה יותר.
