Hachodesh (2) 5737, This is a Parshas HaChodesh Ma’amar, Class One. The possuk is explored and explained. Bittul sets up the reneweal. Every Rosh Chodesh versus Rosh Chodesh Nissan, the idea of Rishon. Explanation of Rishon, the same everywhere and always. In this class an observation is made: in the last Ma’amar (HaChodesh (1)) the Rebbe quoted the Ba’al Shem Tov’s teaching that RC Nissan is connected to all Kings and Leaders, including non-Jewish leaders. However, here the Rebbe insists that RC Nissan (Rosh Hashana for Kings and Regalim) is exclusive for Yidden.
Hachodesh (2) 5737, This is a Parshas HaChodesh Ma’amar, Class Two. Yetzias Mitzrayim is connected to a divine revelation: a very powerful G-dly light that empowered us to be free (which is far more difficult than simply getting the Egyptian masters out of the way). נגלה עליהם מלך מלכי המלכים הקדוש ברוך הוא וגאלם. The Keli for this was Yidden’s Mesiras Nefesh which exceeded even Moshe’s expectations and intellect. The Rebbe further connects this to Rosh Chodesh: the Bittul of Rosh Chodesh creates the redemption. In this class an observation is made: in the last Ma’amar (HaChodesh (1)) the Rebbe quoted the Mezritcher Maggid who explains that Nissan (אביב) is about “from Heaven to Earth”, but here the Rebbe insists that (at least to some extent) we did earn the Gilui that led to the Yetzia from Mitzrayim, 1) in borrowing Egyptian wealth, 2) Doing what needed to be done with sheep for the korban Pesach.
