25b. Kimei Tzaischa 5735 (1st of Hemshech in three parts), Class Two.
This (second class on this Ma’amar) deals with Kriyas Yam Suf (the splitting of the reed sea) and the Possuk associated with that event ויולך ה’ את הים ברוח קדים עזה כל הלילה and the related Possuk ויאר את הלילה and their parallels in the future והניף ידו על הנהר בעים רוחו… and לילה כיום יאיר.
He explains the notion of דבר קשה כלפי שמיא of things being difficult ‘On High’ that it is uniquely when the miracle violates nature (and brings together opposites) rather than just exist side by side with it.
Here two worlds are converging: One where all is Godliness (the sea) and the other where self-identity is central. Joining these two is bringing together land and sea, עלמא דאתכסייא and עלמא דאתגלייא.
He explains these two with the metaphor of Thought vs Speech; and explains how it is Avoda.
He further explains why Moshe first raised his hand (above Atzilus) and then lowered it; bringing the power from קדמון to the lowest realm.
In the highest source this notion of קדמון is the source of נשמות ישראל.
