Statement: Notwithstanding the earlier assertion that Atzilus is Da’as Elyon, in truth Atzilus is the ממוצע between Ein Sof and the lower worlds (and accordingly, later on Atzilus will be explained to be Da’as Tachton). Question: What value can there possibly be in a ממוצע (intermediate) between what is truly Ein Sof and what is limited? Answer: It is necessary to bring the Ein Sof closer so that it creates with concern (proactively) for what it is creating. This is true even on the רצון level, and certainly for the אור פנימי aspect.
