ציון במשפט תפדה ה’תשל”ט This typical ציון במשפט Ma’amar separates ציון from ושבי’ה. The Rebbe explains ציון in two different ways that are both very advantageous: 1) That ציון is the very essence of the Neshama which is reached and revealed through תורה עבודה וגמילות חסדים as רשב”י says of himself אנא סימנא בעלמא this is true in a small way by all Yidden! 2) The idea of ציון במשפט תפדה is referring to the physical city of ירושלים and the offering up of קרבנות there. Only in ירושלים can we offer physical קרבנות and have an overt meeting between our fire (אש שלמטה) and the divine fire (אש שלמעלה). In spite of all this it is worth it to have גלות and נורא עלילה על בני אדם for the sake of תשובה. Especially in the end of Galus עקבתא דמשיחא that even Moshe is a מקבל from us!!!
