45b. Yom Tov Shel Rosh Hashana 5735 (-6), Class Two.
Class Two of this three parts on the Ma’amar Yom Tov Shel Rosh Hashana make a second and third point.
A. When Rosh Hashana is Shabbos, there’s is not (nearly) as much of a need for the actual blowing the Shofar, as the Shabbos itself (עונג שבת) provides the same Oneg that Shofar would.
B. Even in the times and places where they did/ do blow, it is (even there) זכרון תרועה alone. As the Gemara suggests it.
