Braishis 5739Class One: This class explains the “Shlichus” we take from Tishrei to bring Him with us into the everyday. The Ba’al Shem Tov taught that the meaning of the Possuk בראשית ברא אלוקים, is to reveal the reason for the Tzimtzum of Elokim. This will teach you how important Kavana is. Because he has Kavana for gilui, we can reverse the Tzimtzum and affect Gilui.
Class Two: There are actually three meanings for breishis (from Tzemach Tzedek) 1) Kesser 2) Chochma 3) Middos and accordingly three “Elokim”s that must be understood and reversed. The Rebbe ties this in to Parsaos (that through Hishtalshelus there are basically three levels): 1) Between Kesser and Atzilus (Kesser hides what is above her (Elokim)) 2) Between Chochma and Bina (hides Chochma from Bina) 3) Between Midos and Malchus [or between Atzilus and BY”A]. All three must be understood and reversed as per the Ba’al Shem Tov’s teaching but the most important is the one closest to us: as the point is everything coming as low as possible and lifting up from the very bottom.
