The Rebbe brings four levels of the Aliya from Tahara (Garmohi) to Kedusha (Chayohi). It explains what is deficient about the earlier pshat that requires a higher pshat. In each case the deficiency in comparison to before is smaller. The first pshat (Ain Kadosh KaHavaya) is challenged because according to the Arizal Atilus is Garmohi (from Bina down). The second pshat is challenged as Ohr Atzmi of Keser is one with its Keilim and if one reveals this Source of the Neshama (from Keilim) the Aliya is of no great advantage at all. The third pshat [that the Aliya is to Atik of A”K and the Ein Sof that rests there that has no connection to Keilim at all] (is not really challenged,) the Maamar (simply) argues that all these ideas are more profound lifnei HaTzimtzum. [The highest Aliya is therefore to Etzem Ohr Ein Sof lifnei HaTzimtzum]. Page 506 (666-7), 507 (668) 509 (672).
