p 36-48 (pp 51-64 new version) Three levels of Ohr. 3)Ohr in the Keli – Mhus Acher 2)Ohr higher than kelim – Ratzo v’shuv 1) Ohr in the Mekor – Moti V’Lo Moti. Then this will change to 3)Ohr in Kelim – Mhus Acher; 2) both Ohr higher than kelim – Ratzo v’Shov and Ohr in Mekor-Moti vLo Moti (showing movement) and 1) Light in the mekor (No Movement)
Inside: Why use the word Ohr to describe Chochma and Bina? It would seem that Shefa would fit better. There are two types of Hishtalshelus as explained in the Samech Hey. 1) Shefa based Ila v’alul, where the lowest point of one becomes the highest point of the next. Mehus to Mehus. Start and stop. Metzius based. (Shavuous Maamar) 2) Ohr based, where there is a continuous automatic flow from higher to lower. Based on the Elokus, not the Mehus. Elokus is Bilti Metzius. (Rosh Hashana Maamar) Both happen at the same time. This section of the maamar is from a maamar of the Alter Rebbe. He used the word ohr to describe any downward flow, as from Chochma to Bina. So how can we call Chochma and Bina, Ohr not Shefa? because the ohr is coming down through the Ohr Elokus system and not the mehus to mehus system.
