Kidusha is about creating a Merkava (seat) for Hashem’s manifestation as the various levels of malachim do. The different Nuschaos, and the fact that in later times the Nusach was actually abridged (in the weekdays). The Nusach Ashkenaz, to say during the week “Nikadeish” (we will [on shabbos] sanctify,) indicates a Yeridas Hadoros, and a decreased ability to be Mekadesh Hashem in this way.
