Tanya (text based) Chapter 14 Class 5 (114)

Tanya Chapter 14 Class 5 (114)
Class 5 on Perek 14  This class presents an analysis of the tzadik in matters of the heart – “Dovor ha-masur lilev” (things that have to do with the heart).  The meaning of a tzadik is that he loves Hashem and hates evil.  If a person has some evil inside himself, he cannot hate evil completely because he cannot hate himself and therefore cannot love Hashem completely.  So a perfect tzadik has no evil in himself and therefore can completely hate evil – but it is a cold distant hate with no ability to relate.  The speck of evil in the incomplete tzadik leads to a fiery hatred of evil.
The class discusses levels and types of Perfect Tzadikim.
Only the level of אהבה בתענוגים is אמת לאמיתו in the realm of Tzadik.
The second half of the class includes inspiring personal stories of the lives of exceptional people who embody the values from the text.
