Yom Tov Shel Rosh Hashana 5736 (to year 5737) Class One.
This is the first of two classes on this Ma’amar.
There are four ideas in this Ma’amar: 1) The weekday Bittul to Hashem is not willful but nature. 2) The Shabbos Crowning Hashen as King is willful (ומלכותו ברצון קבלו עליהם), 3) Rosh Hashana we crown Him from Raanug Atzmi (higher than Shabbos), 4) The Pesukim as always said on Rosh Hashana that is OUR (Yidden’s) willfulness in making Him King.
This Class discusses the first two of these ideas.
But it begins with famous question how can we skip blowing Shofar when Rosh Hashan is Shabbos considering how great a Mitzvah this is.
The Rebbe (brings the RaMbaM, that) connects Shofar to Teshuva and makes five points to underscore how special Teshuva is.
