Likutei Sichos vol. 21 page 108 ff. Class One. Every time they traveled they complained (to their Superior) and argued (with one another) about the rapidity of the growth and change. When coming to Har Sinai they neither complained nor argued because the Torah (they were to get there) is all about real unity, and it affected a unity in them. [In contrast to the last Sicha that held that before Torah is given the unity comes from within (the Neshama) not the Torah].
