This class continues exploring the idea of Davening with is ‘Emes’ (Truth and unchanging) using the story of Chana as the model.
She prays and is accused of being drunk; she counters with ‘I’m not drunk, I am engaged in השתפכות הנפש (pouring out my Soul)’ which Eli accepts.
The idea that deeper things that touch us more deeply (or have a deeper source) in our Souls allow for a deeper prayer. When something touches our essence we can Daven on that level.
This can be a תפילה אריכתא where He gives us the words with which to speak to Him.
