Tanya Chapter 22, Class 3 (167).
The discussion on the development of Klipa continues.
Last class we introduced the first two ideas (in THIS order):
A. ריבוי צמצומים– for Klipa to deny where it’s life comes from, it must have little life, because a lot of life would make the denial impossible (example: Olom HaTohu).
[Note: there is an exception to this rule of Klipa having little and it is called getting life from מקיף העליון where כחשיכא כאורה but here is not the time for that discussion]
B. אחוריים– He turns His back, sustaining with no real love or interest for what He is sustaining [because He doesn’t want this, but He NEEDS it].
This week we added two more words (steps in the development of Klipa):
C. מקיף– even the little light that reaches Klipa from Kedusha remains apart from what it sustains.
D. גלות– (continuation of C) this results in the Divine Life within the Klipa to trapped (like a prisoner, who is not free to redeem himself) it cannot express itself because it’s environment isn’t conducive to what it is.
