Continuing on the theme, that Shofar is Teshuva, the Rebbe Rashab links it to the RaMbaM ,who says as much (Shofar is ‘also’ Teshuva;) (We told the story of the Melamed who cried by Shofar and what Rav Yashe Ber Solovaichic said about it), and tied it to the famous Mussar quote of his in Hilchos Teshuva.
The Rebbe links that passage to the three types of Pesukim.
עורו ישנים- is like מלכיות, this means Teshuva of accepting Him as King which (we explained) means Teshuva Ila’a, the higher Teshuva of returning to Him.
וזכרו בוראכם- is like זכרונות, and is achieved by doing a זכרון of our own.
