02. Suka SheChamasa Miruba MiTzilasa 5714, Class Two.
1) This class has an introduction about the three levels of אור אין סוף (listed on the first page of the first Ma’amar of the Rebbe): A. גילוי, B. העלם, C. העלם מצד עצמו; D. [perhaps a fourth level] העלם העצמי; we touch on the differences between עצם אוא”ס and מאור (and יכולת in this case).
The first two are about Gilui; the latter two are about self.
2) we then begin learning inside about the two ideas of מקיף הקרוב and מקיף הרחוק.
3) מקיף הקרוב really the beginning of Gilui, though it is hidden that’s point and purpose. Mashal One: כח השכיל whose מציאות we know though not it’s מהות, because it is for the sake of Gilui: Mashal Two: Rav giving Talmid what he can handle hiding what he cannot which the student will come to on his own over time.
4) מקיף הרחוק is the Godliness for self only העלם לעצמו which can never know (בדרך השתלשלות) and is not about being known. Mashal [One: כח העצמי that has no actual מציאות; Mashal] Two: Rav and Talmid where he is giving the עצם שכלו that are so far apart that the only means for any kind relating is through a Tzimtzum of Siluk.
4) Higher idea isn’t Rav giving Etzem of self (ולענ”ד ב’ מדריגות אלו בהעלם המקיף שאינו במציאות הוא עד”מ עצם אוא”ס והמאור שהוא בהתגלות)
5) מקיף דמקבל אור ישר ואור חוזר- it’s all שייך לגילוי; and מקיף דהמשפיע דאור ישר ואור חוזר, only מקיף דאור ישר is שייך לגילוי, and מקיף דאור חוזר is not.
6) Issue of קשה לשכחה when putting on two garments at a time; the מקיף דאור חוזר (outer garment) prevents inner garment (מקיף דאור ישר) from doing what it must do to help prevent the פנימי from forgetting.
