10c. Bichof Hei BiKislev 5716, Class Three. This (short) third class on this Ma’amar includes the beginning and the end of the Ma’amar. Chanukah candles are here to commemorate a miracle with the candles of the Menorah in the Beis HaMikdash, yet they are different. 1) There are eight candles rather than seven and 2) it is lighted at night rather than during the day. The Rebbe explains they are what you do when the Menorah is unclean (טמא) you dig deeper. They are compared to the Ketores which removes the body of Klipa (not only the Soul- the passion).
