17b. Vayehi BaYom HaShmini 5720, Class Two. This second class, deals with the idea of אור שהאיר ביום הראשון; the Light that pervaded the world on the first day that was removed. In spite of it’s גניזה and (even more) הבדלה לעצמו is still here. 1) It is the (hidden) source of creation ex-nihilo (יש מאין). 2) It is revealed through OUR Avoda on Yom Tov [and Shabbos] when we make Hashem so real in our life that we are in front Him and not allowed to (move a muscle and) do work. This is then drawn down into the every day in three levels: A. Tefilla to thought (בריאה), B. Torah to speech (also יצירה), C. GaMaCh and Mitzvos (even עשי’ה). 3) Then the Rebbe offers a second idea, that Mitzvos done with קבלת עול מלכות שמים and אתכפיא reveal אור הכתר [that creates Atzilus מאין ליש!!] into the actions more than in anything else. [Note: The division of this idea (גילוי אור שנברא ביום הראשון) intot wo ideas remains uncertain and not entirely clear in my mind].
