21. Ki Tisa 5734 (1st Ma’amar) Shekalim Ma’amar. This Ma’amar is unusual in the Emunah discussion. Avraham gives us Emunah on the levels of Mimalei and Sovev, and then fortifies it with ורעה אמונה Hisbonenus (in what motivates the thief). Moshe is told כי תשא את ראש he raises our heads- beyond the Hisbonenus (after Avraham’s Emunah that fortifies it). This Emuna is through מחצית השקל and includes both ideas: (1) the higher Emunah in Atzmus (above the world and it comes from the Torah which Moshe gave to us); (2) the internalization of that Emunah. This explains the language of the Pesukim 10 גרא which is half a Shekel which is עשרים גרא due to the need to internalize this (higher) Emunah.
