Class One.
Sleep is an analogy for Galus.
Everything is functioning but there is confusion, no limit, order, division.
In this Ma’amar the Rebbe explains (the Frierdike Rebbe’s Ma’amar from 5700), in this way:
When there is Shina (sleep) the kochos go back into the Etzem where they are on a higher level.
It is only that to us down here it is not felt. So, in Galus we are actually getting life from a higher place.
Class Two.
Mesiras Nefesh,
Waking up the King while it s still night.
In our perception, the sleep (Galus) means disorder and confusion, when in fact it means that we are living from an even higher level than in the times of the Beis HaMikdash.
