Class One: This class has a long introduction about the story of Basi Ligani. It also includes Perek 1, 6. This Perek ends the discussion about transforming Klipa to Kedusha, in this case, the letters ר, ק to the letters ד, ה. It is explained based on the Possuk גער חית קנה to transform Masculine and feminine קליפה to קדושה.
Class one
Class Two: This class develops the idea in the Frierdike Rebbe’s Ma’amar that comparing קרשים to מצוות. The Rebbe actually argues that they are only similar but not identical: קרשים are רוחניים where the foundation is above the beam (of light). מצוות are גשמיים where the foundation is below the column that extends upwards because they are עצמות which shows itself only in גשמיות.
Class two
Class Three: This class is only on Perek 4. It involves a long introduction about Ohr, Mayim, Rakia, the notion of G-dliness (plainness,) gradually becoming capable of taking on form as represented by the three stages of light, liquid, solid. The idea is that what is higher is more abstract and what is lower is more applied. In this Ma’amar this idea is contrasted by the idea that what is lower has the highest source. This notion has several levels. On one level what is higher comes lower ALSO but it is very diminished on the lower level. On another level where what is higher comes lowest ONLY and this is because the source is even higher. All of this addresses the question of (Perakim 2-3, 5) the beam (of light) from higher to lower and the beam (that holds up a building) from lower to higher.
Class three
Class Four: This class is on Perek 7 of Basi Ligani 5719. The basis for the Perek (and the ones that follow) is the idea of אני הוי’ לא שניתי and that the truth of לא שניתי must be revealed and it is not enough that it is true and hidden. In this Perek, the Rebbe explores further the notion that the highest lights (or essence) can ONLY be revealed in the lowest world. It includes… 1) the Tzemach Tzedek’s allusion to the notion of Hashem being a king which can only be to those much lower than He. 2) and the Rebbe Maharash’s discussion on אהבת עולם a worldly love being an infinite love because the highest idea of the world is joined with the lowest world especially.
Class four
Class Five: This class explains how there is לא שניתי in this lowest world in two levels: A) the life and light isn’t affected by creation, B) Hashem Himself isn’t affected and changed by the creation. There are different Avodos A) reveals the לא שניתי of גילויים B) reveals the לא שניתי of עצמות. Even what is revealed (only) after Moshiach comes is based on what we’ve done now.
