Philosophy knows Hashem only from the world. 1) מה הנשמה ממלא את הגוף כך הקב”ה ממלא את העולם He is the Soul of the Universe. 2) The material of the creation חומר is created יש מאין and is not חומר קדמון (as Aristotle understood). But both of these are the “what” of the world, and it defines Hashem BY the world (ALMOST AS IF HE IS A SERVANT OF THE WORLD). Above the “what” there is the “why” [Hashem created the world]; this enhances our understanding of what we understand about Hashem in philosophy; but beyond that חקירה cannot know.
