[page 197] Four Bittuls (1). This class discusses the two basic levels of ביטול היש and ביטול במציאות. The basic difference between the two is that ביטול היש is from below- one “Bittuls” himself, like בטל רצונך מפני רצונו. ביטול במציאות, on the other hand, cannot be achieved from below; it only happens if inspired from on high. These two are like טהרה and קדושה.
