Hisbonenus.
This class reexamines pages 154-6, exploring the background of Hisbonenus and the different levels involved.
There are two basic levels to Hisbonenus as well as the Ahava ViYirah.
The first level is the level of the human mind that can understand (and through Hisbonenus also feel) Godliness with the Human mind alone. On this level, there really is not that much difference between a Yid and a non-Yid.
The second level is understanding (and through Hisbonenus also feeling) Godliness on levels which is only possible because of the Neshama. This level is only for Yiden with a Neshama and is not possible using the human mind alone.
The Ma’amar gives us two levels of Hisbonenus and Midos for Ahava and Yirah, but in Tiferes, he brings only one: Histaklus.
