Page 52. This class asks the question why do we say that there are two levels of Da’as? It answers the question by quoting the possuk. Our reality, our facts, are the Biblical letters and words and we study them with incredible precision and detail. The Possuk says ‘Ki Kail Daios Hashem’, we know therefore that there are two levels of Da’as. It becomes our task to figure out what they are. What we know, is that neither Deah, is in Atzmus, only in His light, in Godliness. Why are there two levels of Da’as? One connects a person to his mind, to this that he can intellectually know. The other connects a person to his soul to this that he cannot understand and yet he can know it.
