When one reads the letter on which this entry in the Hayom Yom is based, he will be shocked!!
The Rebbe RaYaTz is explaining his refusal to speak out publicly about the Zionists (then !!!!) who were really causing the Jewish people (Yiddishkeit) so much anguish. His refusal to speak out is due to this instruction from his father (the Rebbe RaShaB) to never veer away from the mission of shining light.
