Kapital 111 (5772/2012).

Short Version (Beis Rivka seminary). The Kapital which is about the of praise of Hashem really comes down to the need for, and the strengthening of, Faith as indicated in its last Possuk: Raishis Chochma, Yiras Hashem. It explores Hashem’s miracles to the world as a whole, to Yidden especially in this world. It reveals and argues Hashem’s Truth and Justice.

Short Version

Long Version (Beis Midrash Linashim) (5772/2012).

Class One. Introduction. Overview of the entire Kapital and an underscoring of the two key Pesukim (6, 10). The message: Hashem rules the earth (and not only the heavens) and we must begin with faith (Raishis Chochma) to live according to this truth and to merit access to this sensitivity.

Class One

Class Two. Inside Pesukim 1-4. Possuk 1. An overview and thanksgiving. 2-3 The praise of Hashem from creation: He is great (beyond comprehension) yet somehow we can uncover the secrets hidden within creation; His involvement makes the creation beautiful and forever. 4. Begins the discussion of (the higher revelation in) Yiddishkeit which is seen (in part) in time that constantly has His miracles (commemorating either the past or the future) embedded within it.

Class Two

Class Three. After reviewing from the beginning, this class explores Pesukim 5-8. Possuk 5 discusses the miracle of Parnassa both physically and spiritually (birurim) and the Mun (Manna) which is beyond this altogether, Possuk 6 discusses how great a miracle (and controversy) is the eternal gift of Eretz Yisroel to Am Yisroel and when we will believe it, so will the entire world. Pesukim 7-8 explain that Hashem is Just and True and embedded in our hearts. The decisions He’s made about Yidden must be accepted (on one level) but can be understood (on another) if we want to understand the Truth.

Class Three

Class Four. After quickly reviewing the Kapital to this point, we explore Pesukim 9-10. Possuk 9 entails a summary of Jewish historical possibilities and the divine revelations that accompany these different circumstances and the divine revelations and assistance under good and not such good circumstances. Possuk 10 advocates the need for “Yiras Hashem” (or: Emuna P’shuta) first in order to persevere as Yidden and last forever.

Class Four

11 NISSAN 5772 (2012) FARBRENGEN.
The 11 Nissan Farbrengen and class 1) The significance of the number 110. Like Yosef (who lived that many years) and was immersed altogether in the world and was simultaneously completely above it. The same is true of the Rebbe, 2) The Kapital overviewed (again). It is about faith in Hashem being the master (not only the creator) of this earth.
