Likutei Sichos – Vol 16 p. 475 ff. The END of Shmos is the (real) end of Freedom: serving Him in Galus. This very interesting Sicha observes the two aspects of Dira BiTachtonim: Yidden and the world; but adds Yidden’s Dira depends on the world and the darker the world (Galus, travel) the greater the Dira. Thus Shmos ends not with the Schechina resting in the Mishkan, but the Shcechina departing and Yidden going off into Galus and working (and achieving) there.
