Ranat Class #7

KOS: OROS and KELIM ; NESHAMA and GUF P. 6 7lines down Light knows its source (ila v’alul) and wants to be in it. – But the Guf forces the light down, because the light senses that from the guf (since its source is higher) there is an advantage for the light. Hashem can’t be limited. He can do what He wants and how He wants to do it. He chose to make the world with 2 tools: the power to limit, and the power to manifest infinitely. These two powers are called by different terms on different levels. In the Maor – Yecholes lo l’haAir and Yecoholes l’haAir; Lifnei Hatzimtzum – Koach Ha gvul and Koach ha bli gvul; Achar ha tzimtzum – Reshimo and Kav ; in Azilus – Kelim and Oros. Qualities of bli gvul are the koach galuy (revelation) to unify and attach to its source, as it shines it unites everything to itself and reveals its source. The quality of gvul – Koach hanivdal, koach hane’elam – it doesn’t reveal its source, we don’t see how it is attached to its source and it is separated from its source and everything like itself. Neshama and guf: why is there a heartbeat? the neshama keeps on going back and forth, up to source down to guf. Osios (kelim) are limited and separate and can’t increase in Number. Inyonim that come from Hashem in a way of unity are called haAra – a reflection of Hashem. Inyonim that come in a way that is separate from Hashem have the Essence of HIM. Maor is a source of light shining from Him. When kelim come from Him they must come from a deeper point.
