40. Lo Hayu Yamim Tovim LiYisroel 5735 (Mugga).
The 15th of Menachem is compared to Yom Kippur and actually is mentioned first. These two days are considered by the Mishna (at the end of Ta’anis) to be the greatest of all.
The Rebbe finds the reasons for this in the Gemara to be insufficient, so he introduces the Kabbala behind it.
This day is as great a holiday as it is because it follows, corrects and reverses the (lowest day in the entire calendar, the) day of Tisha BiAv.
It is as high as it is because of the ‘low’ it follows.
The Ma’amar (based on the Ma’amar [Nachamu] of the Rebbe RaShaB (from שנת עת”ר which is 1910)) develops around the Possuk ויתרון ארץ בכל היא מלך לשדה נעבד.
It offers three dimensions:
1) The creation, which in and of itself is perfect; and it’s two components: Gan Eden and the world.
2) The purpose of creation through Yiddishkeit, Torah and Mitzvos, which adds an even higher perfection and a higher level of אור חדש that is beyond change to the creation.
3) Teshuva, which adds an even higher level of אור חדש which is generated from below and is therefore (not only) above change but is always revealed everywhere. This is Moshiach.
This third level is linked to חמשה עשר באב after the חורבן בית המקדש.
