Class One. The 49 words from למנצח בנגינות beginning with אלקים until ארץ. 49 is חסד, המשכה. The 42 words of אנא בכח are normally גבורה; העלאה but not here we add separately the ראשי תיבות of the 42 words to have 49 which is again חסד; המשכה; שוב. The 49 letters of the Possuk ישמחו וירננו. First: the 49 מדות: in each case the key word is the second and the first qualifies it. Is the second (key) word a deed qualified by an emotion or a basic emotion being qualified by a more complex emotion.
Class One.
Class Two. The מדות.חסד. The key word is the second one חסד שבחסד.But there two models:1) The Key חסד is an act of kindness that is qualified by an emotion. What you see is the (key= the) act and the emotional motivator is hidden.2) The Key חסד is also an emotion that is qualified or tweaked by a secondary (specific) emotion. In this model you see the secondary emotion as it represents (reveals) the primary emotion.חסד means kindness, inclusiveness, compromise, dilution and so on.
Class Two.Class Three.
Class Three. גבורה Here again the second word is the Key word (גבורה שבגבורה) and there are the same two models explained by חסד.גבורה means exactitude, precision and great demand and expectation.
Class Four. תפארת (One). This class explores only the first form of תפארת as it is complemented by each of the תפארת .מדות 7 means an act of real truth, and we discussed this idea at length (ועצ”ע). We explained how each מדה can motivate this truth, beginning with חסד שבתפארת etc.
Class Four.
Class Five. תפארת (Two). This class explores the second form for תפארת, where it is an emotion (of feeling another as THEY are) that is qualified by complementing individual emotions such as love, exactitude etc. תפארת is the idea of באשר הוא שם feeling what the other feels, based on the נשמה oneness.
Class Five.
Class Six. נצח. In the first model the action is one of נצח which is motivated by each of the seven מדות: Kindness that awakens determination etc. In the second Model נצח is the emotion of (and for) fighting for a cause, but what you see is the secondary emotion: how due to one’s determination he is kind, exact etc.
Class Six.
Class Seven. הוד. Submission, acceptance, stubbornness. We explained the מדה in two ways (again) 1) Where the עיקר (second) word is an action, that we see that is motivated by the (first word) emotion that we don’t see. 2) Where both words are emotions, in this way we see the secondary (first word) that covers over the second (עיקר) word.
Class Seven.
Class Eight. יסוד (One). Connection, deeper even than Tiferes. No טעם but very עצמיות’דיק.
Class Eight.
Class Nine. יסוד (Two). More on יסוד. Explaining the מדה in two ways (again) 1) Where the עיקר (second) word is an action; 2) Where both words are emotions, in this way we see the secondary (first word) that covers over the second (עיקר) word.
Class Nine.
Class Ten. מלכות (One). Introduction to מלכות, an emotion that is greater in distance (so long as there is some connection) rather than with closeness (as is the case with the first six מדות). Example: Patricians. The idea of love that is greater from distance: תניא פמ”ו כמים הפנים לפנים כן לב האדם אל האדם the lower and farther from Him the more we love Him. נמשל: Malchus.
Class Ten.
Class Eleven. מלכות (Two). Romemus as an action as it is motivated by each of the Middos. Action (לבושים) as it is motivated by each of the Middos.
Class Eleven.
Class Twelve. מלכות (Three). רוממות as an emotion and how it expresses itself in each of the seven מדות. Being emotionally above and inspiring from there.
Class Twelve.
Class Thirteen. מלכות (Four). The “emotion” of no emotion of קבלת עול. It is not an emotion but it is from the very essence of the person.
Class Thirteen.
Class Fourteen. פסח we became free, like a גר שנתגייר כקטן שנולד דמי we are brand new, and the עבודה is אמונה. But the next day we must deal with our past and be מברר it and this is ספירת העומר. בירור המדות one example from תפארת שבנצח. The way you interact with others with your emotions determines if it is מבורר or not.
Class Fourteen.
Class Fifteen. ספירת העומר includes from the bottom up and from the top down. From חסד שבחסד until מלכות שבמלכות and from מלכות שבמלכות until חסד שבחסד. למנצח בנגינות and אנא בכח.
Class Fifteen.
Class Sixteen. Cont. from last class. ORDER. 1) ברכה 2) ספירה 3) כונה בסדר זה: A. word אנא בכח B. word אלוקים יחננו, C. letter from ישמחו 4) אמירה בסדר זה: A. הרחמן… בית המקדש B. למנצח… אלוקים יחלננו, C. then אנא בכח, D. then רבונו של עולם. The order makes no sense: in thought אנא בכח comes first and in speech אלוקים יחננו does. Possible explanation.
Class Sixteen.
